New York City makes a stunning backdrop for this cross cultural wedding.

When hosting nearly 400 guests in New York city, you need a venue as grand as your guestlist.  And Ellis Island was the perfect place to host Dana and Rahul’s cross-cultural Indian reception. But first, guests gathered in Battery Park for the traditional Barat, where they lead the groom to the ceremony site where the bride awaits.  The ceremonies were held at Battery Gardens, first the Hindu ceremony followed by a light lunch, a quick change and then a Western ceremony.  Guests were delighted to board the ferry and  circle the Statue of Liberty before outdoor cocktails and dinner in the Registry Hall at Ellis Island.  Guests danced all night to Bhangra, Hip Hop and even got into the act of entertaining by serenading the couple with song.
