For these artistic restaurateurs, we fused wedding traditions with the elements of a great night out.

When Rachel and Noah first came in, I knew that this was going to be a fun, collaborative process. As the owners of Brooklyn’s Mile End, their vision was an evening of homey charm, amazing, natural foods and fabulous wine in a warm atmosphere.  They chose a location known for it’s vintage feel, antique furnishings and eclectic details.  Together, we crafted an evening that began with a pared down, simple ceremony rooted in Jewish Tradition; our only decor were the 2 Talis that had been in the groom’s family for generations.  Afterwards, a klezmer band led the crowd in spontaneous Horah! Downstairs they were greeted with hot spiked cider, before sitting down to the intimate setting for a family style meal.  The bride’s mother, an antique dealer, sourced the amazing vintage containers for the floral.  A family friend made the main cake, with additional cakes designed around our theme.  For escort cards, olive branches. And nearby, two love doves were perched for the night, making for a great photo op for guests.
